Duggan Takes Positives From Gruelling Rally Italia
Rob Duggan claimed 6th place among the Junior World Rally Championship runners on last weekend’s Rally Italia Sardinia. His finishing position however, doesn’t quite reflect how successful an event this was for the former Motorsport Ireland Young Rally Driver of the Year.
Duggan set for another Mediterranean adventure on Rally Italia
Junior World Rally Championship contender Rob Duggan will start the second round of his 2017 campaign on this weekend’s Rally Italia Sardinia. It’s been 2 months since the season opening round in Corsica and the 24 year old driver from Killarney will be looking to build upon his 6th place finish on that event.
Duggan To Start World Championship Dream In Corsica
Former Motorsport Ireland Young Rally Driver of the Year and reigning British Junior Rally Champion, Rob Duggan starts his Junior World Rally Championship campaign this weekend on the Mediterranean island of Corsica.
Corsica will be Duggan’s 3rd attempt at a World Rally Championship event as the Kerry man has previously tackled Wales Rally GB in 2015 and 2016.

Vauxhall Motorsport UK driver Rob Duggan rounded out an almost perfect season by taking his fifth win on the MSA DMACK Junior British Rally Championship last weekend on Rally Isle of Man. Having already secured the junior title on the previous round in Ulster, Duggan was able to drive without pressure on the Manx and secured another junior win, as well as a top 10 finish on the infamous island.

Rob Duggan, the 2015 Motorsport Ireland Young Rally Driver of the Year, heads to this weekend’s John Mulholland Motors Ulster Rally on the verge of becoming the inaugural DMACK Junior British Rally Champion.
The 23 year old Killarney driver has excelled this season, picking up a trio of wins in his Vauxhall Adam leaving him and co-driver Ger Conway with a commanding 25 point advantage over his nearest rival, Norwegian Sindre Furuseth. Duggan’s lead is all the more impressive given he has yet to play his double points “joker”, something all his rivals have already done.

A dominant display by 23 year old Motorsport Ireland Young Rally Driver of the Year and current DMACK Junior British Rally Championship leader, Rob Duggan, saw him take his third win of the series on a very challenging Nicky Grist Stages Rally. As a dual surface event, the rally provides a unique challenge with the stages of the opening day taking place on gravel before the cars are changed to tarmac specification for the second day.

Rob Duggan and Ger Conway took maximum points on the British DMACK Junior Rally Championship in their Vauxhall ADAM R2, and are now leading the championship.
Duggan Targets Strong Circuit Performance

22 year old Duggan, from Killarney Co. Kerry, started rallying in 2012 and has risen to become one of Ireland's brightest motorsport prospects in recent years. After claiming the Irish National Junior Rally Championship in 2013, Duggan has successfully made the switch to R2 machinery culminating in a drive with Vauxhall Motorsport UK for 2016. A strong performance on round 1 in Wales saw Rob running comfortably in 3rd place until a puncture saw him drop back. The Circuit of Ireland however sees Rob and his co-driver Ger Conway return to their favourite surface, tarmac.

2015 Motorsport Ireland Young Rally Driver of the Year, Rob Duggan, will start his 2016 campaign this weekend on the Mid Wales Stages, the opening round of the 2016 British Rally Championship. 22 year old Duggan, from Killarney Co. Kerry, started rallying in 2012 and has risen to become one of Ireland's brightest motorsport prospects in recent years. After claiming the Irish National Junior Rally Championship in 2013, Duggan has successfully made the switch to R2 machinery. These small, rapid, 1600cc cars are an ideal stepping stone to international championships and for this year, Rob will head a three car Vauxhall team in the British Junior Championship joined by co-driver, Ger Conway.
Duggan leads Team-Ireland
Robert Duggan from Aghadoe Killarney was awarded last year with the Billy Coleman Award for Best young Rally Driver of the year 2015. Since then Robert has secured a Works Factory drive with Team Vauxhall Motorsport UK for the 2016 season and he will contest the full British Rally Championship. The governing body of Motorsport in Ireland have recognized Robert as one of Ireland’s top Elite Drivers and he has been chosen to lead a new development program called “Team-Ireland”.

Well. What can I say only that I am completely over the moon and delighted to receive the title of "The Billy Coleman Award" for The Young Rally Driver of the Year 2015.
Duggan takes positives from WRC3 performance in Wales
Promising Irish driver Rob Duggan says that his World Rally Championship debut on Wales Rally GB over the weekend exceeded all expectations and hopes the experience will stand him in good stead for 2016 when he hopes to contest the one-make Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy.
Against a number of more experienced drivers he produced a stunning drive on the very first day to occupy second in the Junior WRC standings from England’s Chris Ingram and Belgium’s William Wagner. But for Duggan, finishing was more important than the result, and despite retiring on Saturday he returned on the final day to accrue more useful seat time. “I came to this rally looking to get as much experience as I possibly could, and I have done that,” said Duggan.
Carryduff Forklift R2 Wales Champions 2015
Well as i sit here writing this, l am still trying to get my head around it all. To say that we are delighted would just be a huge understatement. We headed to the North needing a second place finish to secure the Carryduff forklift R2 Wales championship title and thats what we did. Along with picking up that title we also won class 4, the junior championship, tied for 1st 2WD and got 2nd overall in the Northern Ireland championship. We could not have asked for anything better.
